Senior Adult
To some, a senior is an old person. To us, at FBNO, a senior is a person who has experience in life and who can use that experience under the leadership of God to bring hope to others.
Our seniors enjoy a luncheon on the fourth Friday of each month at 11:30 AM. They eat a delicious meal, listen to a guest speaker or entertainer, and fellowship with one another. Every other month they meet for breakfast at Piccadilly Cafeteria on Saturday Morning.
They study the Bible in small groups and take trips to places and events of interest. They visit with seamen at Global Maritime Ministries and needy women at Baptist Friendship House. They help set the pace for Christian discipleship.
Wouldn’t you like to find friendship and fulfillment for your life among people of Christian character?

The Message in Mold
Black mold, green mold, stinky mold, slippery mold. . .we've seen it all in New Orleans, especially since Hurricane Katrina. Just the other day Barbara and I were sitting in a coffee shop not far from the church drinking a hot cup of dark roast on the patio when I noticed that the bottom of the brick wall was covered in green mold. This coffee house has been renovated after flooding in the storm, but the mold is returning on the outside. Is it coming back on the inside, too?
