ELC Ribbon Cutting_58 - April 17, 2008We Now Have a License!

After many months of blood, sweat and tears our weekday childhood education program has received a license from the State of Louisiana to operate as a Class "B" daycare facility. Many thanks go to Karen Farrell, our Director, for preparing our staff, records and facilities to pass inspection. Karen also spent numerous hours making phone calls and visits to City Hall to deal with "red tape." Our appreciation also extends to Nancy Lytle of the Lakeview Civic Improvement Association for her assistance in dealing with local and state officials. In preparation of receiving our daycare license we have changed the name of our Children's Day Out (CDO) to the First Academy Early Learning Center (ELC). This name change better reflects our purpose and mission - to give each child unconditional love in a Christ-centered environment.  We are dedicated to providing a rich and enjoyable atmosphere in which children may flourish socially, emotionally, developmentally, and spiritually.
